Komodo and Palau were my favourite trips until I went to Alaska. I would sign up for another trip right away if I could.

Where has all the time gone!!? It felt like yesterday I was walking onboard ready to start the next adventure of my life. It has almost come to an end and what an adventure it has been! I have: – … Continue reading
I crawled into my bunk sore, tired and happily dreaming of nudibranchs, red irish lords, sculpins and crabs

Wicked kelp, bigger nudibranchs than I have ever seen before and sea lions in my face. Diving doesn’t get any better than Browning Wall, Port Hardy
Coming back onto the Nautilus Swell after being off for merely a month has been terrific; I could not be happier to be back on board. I woke up to a spectacular sunrise as we were anchored just out side … Continue reading

The 4 masted tall ship Drumrock was a fine dive even if I don’t like wreck dives. I witnessed a drama unfold on the rocks west of the ship
“This morning we dived an 8 am dive on the wreck of the Drumrock, a 400ft, 3000 ton warship that hit a rock in 1927. It broke in half one third of the way aft of the bow. She … Continue reading

Diving the wreck of the Transpac. Divemaster Colten and I woke up early this morning before first light.
The air was thick and condensed on our faces as we moved about the decks, filling tanks and getting geared up. Visibility ended about 10 feet away from the boat into a grey soft fog and blended almost seamlessly with … Continue reading

I could not believe my eyes – 5 humpback whales had just breached the water while bubble net feeding about 400 years south of my dive site.
I was drifting on our dive skiff Inde, watching and waiting for the divers to surface. I wondered if they would continue to feed or what direction they would move. Before I knew what happened I saw 2 of them … Continue reading
